The Story Behind This Vehicle: First off, this is NOT my DeLorean. I was down in Portsmouth Virginia visiting a friend and as we parked at a pawn shop, we noticed a torched DeLorean parked outside of the shop. It turns out that the owner of the shop (and car) was just doing a casual drive when the rear of his car burst into flames. Supposedly, no one was injured but this car will be one hell of a fixer-upper if anyone decides to restore it.

Ubuntu With Beryl
After tinkering with a number of different linux distributions (last one was Dreamlinux), I decided to switch to Ubuntu running Beryl instead of upgrading to Vista. It runs fairly well on my aging Toshiba Satellite A45-S151 but if you choose to run Beryl and Kiba dock on it (being the same laptop), expect to do a wee bit of tweaking for speed and performance.Labels: Linux
