Strangely enough, I have been discussing the topics of being hugged as a child and/or as an adult with my friend Kaspar that also happens to be Chinese. Now I am not sure if it a cultural thing but I can recall that my parents stopped hugging me when I was about 5 years old(insert joke here). Now, since I see my parents roughly once a year, when I do see them it is okay to hug. Apparently Kaspar has the similar hugging situation where he only sees his parents once in awhile. Other than that, physical contact with the rents is kind of weird. So I have sent an email to the 3 other Asians I keep in touch with asking them about being hugged. I am surmising that my white friends had more physical contact with their parents. Hmm, maybe I better go an revise the poll.
